Suspected drunk driver arrested after forcing patrol car off road

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A drunk driver narrowly missed hitting a police car head-on Wednesday morning after being out all night drinking, according to her arrest report.

Police said Eva Vititoe, 29, was speeding on Buechel Bank Road when she crossed the center line and forced a patrol car off the road.

Vititoe tried to outrun the officer by speeding through a senior community living complex, police said. She then attempted to hide by pulling into a parking spot, turning off her lights, and ducking in the front seat. She was arrested shortly after 8 a.m.

Vititoe was taken to Metro Corrections where police said her blood alcohol level was found to be .114. Vitatoe also admitted taking pills.

Police say Vititoe created substantial danger for the arresting officer, other drivers, and children waiting for their school buses to arrive.

Vititoe is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving on a DUI suspended license, wanton endangerment  reckless driving.
