LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man who left his car with Bill Collins Ford for repairs is accused of stealing his own car from the lot without paying for the services.
Stanley Hurst admitted driving an unknown person to the lot along with a spare set of car keys so that person could drive the newly repaired car off the fenced lot without notifying the dealership.
The dealership still has the original set of keys Hurst gave them when he agreed to the service. The dealership claims Hurst owes more than $4,600 in labor, parts and taxes.
Hurst is charged with theft of services.
