LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – TheUniversity of Kentucky Wildcats won against the Louisiana State UniversityTigers with a final score of 85 to 67 in theSEC quarterfinal in Atlanta Friday.
The Cats had been offsince last Saturday's loss at number one Florida
Thursday night LSU beatAlabama in the Georgia Dome, 68-56 setting up the Tiger's third matchup withthe Cats.
The Tigers dominated gameone in Baton Rouge on January 28, the final margin was only 5, but the gamewasn't that close. Then on February 22 in Rupp Arena, it took overtime, butJulius Randle's follow in the final seconds was the difference in a 77-76 UKwin.
Ahead of Friday's match upUK head coach John Calipari said he had tweaked his team, but wouldn't revealdetails, "What you'll do is you'll see a different team when you watch Friday,if you know anything about basketball, you'll know exactly what I did, if youdon't know anything about basketball, you'll look at everybody else's tweetsand read their blogs and say, what is he saying they did, cause I don't knowbasketball."
The Wildcats will nowadvance to the SEC semifinals where they will take on either Georgia or Ole Missat 3:30 p.m. in Atlanta.
