Local Cyclist Sets Club Mileage Record

Susan Howell set a Louisville Bicycle Club record this week.  On October 28th she passed the 10,000 mile mark in the touring competition.

The previous record was 8444 miles.

The competition keeps record of how many miles a member rides from March to October each year.

There are over 800 members in the Louisville Bicycle Club.  The club sponsors several rides a week that range from 10 miles to over 100 miles in a day.

Susan averaged over 42 miles a day to reach 10,000 miles in the touring season.

She has the chance to add 260 more miles to her yearly mileage before the competition ends on Sunday.
