LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – In the past eight months, two seniors from Holy Cross High School have raised over $1,700 to help children at Kosair Children's Hospital.
Hayley Lockwood and Taylor Weber visited Kosair Children's Hospital Sunday morning to present toys and games they bought from the wishlist of several patients ranging from newborn to 18 years old.
"To be able to go out in the community and give back to people, especially those our age, has really changed my outlook on life, and made me want to help beyond the requirement of senior service," Lockwood say.
The senior service has been going on the past five years and works with over 20 different agencies throughout the Louisville area including Kosair Children's Hospital, Red Cross, Harbor House and St. Joseph's Children's Home.
