LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man was arrested Sunday for a February hit and run.
According to police, on February 28, Steven Morris, 48, was involved in a car accident. The victim was pumping gas at a Dixie Highway Speedway when he said Morris drove past his car and hit it. The victim told Morris what had happened and he denied the accident.
The victim took pictures of Morris' car and license plate before Morris drove off, leaving the scene. Shively police were contacted and began an investigation. Police were able to track down Morris, who wasn't home the first time police went to his home. The victim had Morris' car towed.
When the victim took the photos at the scene, white paint was clearly visible on Morris' truck. After the truck was towed, police could see the white paint had been removed.
Morris is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with physical evidence.
