LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man was arrested for forging a check and stealing money from a church.
According to an arrest warrant, Willie Luvine, 47, went to a Fifth Third Bank on December 12. Luvine presented and cashed a check drawn on the account of Southeast Christian Church. The check was made out to Luvine for $851.67. He had forged the signature on the check.
Police arrested him Monday and he is being charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by deception.
