Latest Hollywood dirt: Kanye West on probation, Kate Winslet receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Happy Tuesday! Here is the latest Hollywood news you need to start your day:
Kanye West received two years probation for attacking a photographer last year. On Monday, the rapper's lawyer entered a no-contest plea for the incident.
In addition to the probation, Judge Alan Rubin ruled that West must take anger management classes along with 250 hours of community service.
The judge also said he'll make sure that West isn't getting preferential treatment. However, the sentence wasn't enough for the victim. Photographer Daniel Ramos said he wanted West to serve jail time.
In another case, singer Chris Brown will remain in jail for at least another month. An LA judge ruled on Monday that the singer will be held behind bars until his next court hearing in late April.
Brown appeared in court following his arrest on Friday after he was dismissed from a Malibu facility where he was receiving treatment for anger management and substance abuse.
