Authorities seek person of interest in series of car break-ins, robberies

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The NationalPark Service seeks a woman who might have information regarding a series ofvehicle break-ins and thefts in Saguaro National Park on Tucson's west side inlate February and early March.

Parkofficials remind the public to lock their vehicles and to not leave valuablesunattended.

"Saguaro National Parkbelongs to everybody and we have a longstanding tradition of working togetherwith our community to make visiting the park an enjoyable experience," ChiefRanger Paul Austin said.  "We are asking for our community's assistance toidentify this person of interest so that the perpetrator of this crime is heldaccountable".

Anyone withinformation on the person of interest or other illegal activity in SaguaroNational Park is urged to call the park tip line at (520) 733-8600. All callswill remain anonymous.

    Police say a sparkler, or a piece of one, landed in the backyard of a man's house, ignited dry grass, and the fire burned a shed and spread to his home.
