BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) - Fallen Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis will be honored on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in May.
During Thursday's fundraiser, Old Kentucky Home Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 43 held a $5 lunch fundraiser to raise money to send his comrades to Washington, D.C.
"Our goal is to send sic officers and two deputies to our nation's capital. Money we earn from the $5 pork sandwiches will help pay for expenses," FOP President Ramon Pineiroa said.
FOP Lodge 43 will hold another grill out from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 25 in front of the Bardstown Police Department.
