LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Here are ten things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1. Weekend weatherChristie Dutton of the WAVE 3 Storm Tracking team says today will be warm and windy. Find out what we can expect for this weekend's weather.

2. March Madness continues – The Kentucky Wildcats take on Kansas State tonight at 9:40 in St. Louis. Follow WAVE 3 Sports reporter Kendrick Haskins as he covers the game.

3. Papa John's 10 miler – The final leg of the Triple Crown Run takes place Saturday morning at 8 a.m. The race begins on Third Street near Central Avenue and Churchill Downs and will finish on the 50 yard line in Papa John's Stadium. 4. TARC seeks more safety on buses – TARC runs more than 170 buses during peak hours and almost three dozen at night, but even before Me'Quale Offutt was stabbed to death, managers and the union maintains drivers and riders need more guarantees of protection. 5. Former Bardstown police officer indicted – Former Bardstown police officer Tony Satterly, who resigned following an investigation by Kentucky State Police was indicted by a grand jury. Find out what he was indicted for and the statement that was released.

6. Kentucky's charter schools proposal advances – A bill allowing parents and teachers to convert 18 low performing Jefferson County schools into charter schools advanced in a Kentucky Senate committee Thursday. Click to find out what could happen if it passes.

7. Different snow make up day bills – Kentucky's education commissioner and the head of the Jefferson County Teachers' Association support different snow makeup day bills in the General Assembly. See what each side said about making up the snow days.

8. Bridge construction continues – Crews are dismantling the historic decorative pylon on the west side of the Indiana approach to the Clark Memorial Bridge. The two pylons will be moved north of their location and their limestone block walls will be incorporated in the new bridge approach.

9. Serial arsonist linked to 40 front door fires – A serial arsonist is accused of targeting dozens of doorsteps across Louisville. Since December of 2012 arson investigators have been trying to catch the person responsible for now setting a total of 40 fires on people's front porches. 10. Disturbing claims of horse abuse – The 140th running of the Kentucky Derby is 43 days away and horse racing commissions here in Kentucky and New York are looking into claims of horse abuse. PETA filed complaints against hall of fame nominated trainer Steve Asmussen and a top assistant based on videos and documents. They say that the two overused pain masking drugs on horses.
