FRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) – Officials in Franklin County are calling a man a hero after they say he saved his neighbor from a burning home.
The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. Saturday at a house on Pickett Avenue.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff, Brian Saucier ran across the street and discovered the homeowner had been trying to escape a fire and collapsed at the doorway. Saucier pulled the victim into the yard.
The home was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.
The homeowner's name and condition have not been released.
