LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – While looking for an autistic boy's uncle, police find a shotgun and unlocked door, but no relative.
According to an arrest slip, Trichard Linton, 32, is being charged with abandonment. A neighbor saw Linton's autistic nephew being beaten up, took him into her home and called police. When officers arrived, the neighbor gave them the uncle's phone number.
After several failed attempts, the child gave them an address. When they arrived, the door was apparently unlocked and there was a clearly visible shotgun next to the couch.
