School board votes to change last day for JCPS students

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) –The Jefferson County School Board decided to move the date for the finalday of the 2013-2014 school year on Monday.

The board voted infavor of moving the last day of school to June 6, instead of June 12, duringan emergency session.

The session was called after Governor SteveBeshear signed a snow day bill that would allow school districts flexibility onending the current school year.

According to JCPS, the last date for teachers will be June 13. Graduation dates will also be changed.
