Man who caused injury crash during police pursuit escapes from hospital

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A manwho wanted on warrants in several counties is on the loose after police said heescaped a hospital for injuries he received when he led officers on a chase ina stolen vehicle.

According to Sellersburgpolice, on Wednesday morning Adam Moore, 29, escaped from University ofLouisville Hospital.

Sellersburg Police ChiefRuss Whelan said Moore was taken to the hospital after leading police on a chase down StateRoad 403 Tuesday evening.

Whelan said Moore continued for an estimated seven miles beforewrecking into a vehicle that was attempting to make a turn. Upon impact the vehicleMoore was driving flipped several times, ejecting Moore, before coming to reston a third vehicle.

Both Moore and the driver of the vehicle attempting to turn weretaken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. The driver of thethird vehicle involved was transported to an area for treatment.

Whelan said following the crash officer's discovered the vehiclehad been stolen in Radcliff, Kentucky. Whelan also said the suspect did haveoutstanding warrants.

As a result of the chase Moore is facing charges of receivingstolen property, disorderly conduct, no operator's license, criminal mischief,reckless driving, aggressive driving, resisting arrest and criminalrecklessness with additional charges pending.

Police are unsure which direction Moore went when he left thehospital. Anyone with information on Moore's whereabouts is asked to call theLouisville Metro Police Department's anonymous tip line at (502) 574-LMPD, orthe Sellersburg Police Department at (812) 246-4491.
