Semi accident in Muhlenberg Co. resulted in one fatality

MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) -

The man injured following a semi rollover in Muhlenberg County succumbed to his injuries.

Initial reports from Keith Todd of the Kentucky Transportation Board regarding the semi accident in Greenville were incorrect.

The driver was not killed initially.  The driver was taken to St. Mary's hospital where he died Friday night.

It happened Thursday around 4p.m. on 181 North just outside Greenville, Kentucky.

State Police say the semi rolled over and hit a pole, knocking out power in the area.

The driver, 57-year-old Michael Rogall, was operating a 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer northbound.  The tires dropped off the right side of the roadway, causing it to overturn.

KSP says Rogall who was not wearing a seatbelt, was charged with DUI 1st and possession of open alcohol container.
