Suspect wanted in connection to battery of unborn child

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Winnabow man wanted for multiple assault charges.

Maurice Kendell Wright, 29, of River Road Southeast in Winnabow is wanted for habitual misdemeanor assault, assault on a female, battery of unborn child, and assault inflicting serious injury. These charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 31 in the Leland area.

Police describe Wright as a black male who stands 5'10" tall and weighs 185-pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Maurice Kendall Wright is asked to contact the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office or call 911.
