Reward offered for stolen John Deere log skidder

WASHINGTON COUNTY, IN(WAVE) – A farmer said a piece of equipment he was using was stolen and IndianaState Police are asking for the community's help to find it.

The farmer told police onMarch 24 he parked the John Deere 540D log skidder at a logging site offof State Road 135, near the Blue River Bridge just north of Palmyra.

A witness said on theafternoon of March 26 he saw people in a pickup truck and a white cabsemi-tractor and flatbed trailer load the skidder at the worksite andleave, but assumed they were the owners and did not call police.

Police said the skidder is valued at more than $25,000.
