LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A former Rally's employee was arrested for attempting to rob the downtown location just hours after quitting his job.

On March 6, a police report says Elvin McNeal, 25, approached the walk-up window at the Rally's on West Broadway. A customer had just finished and the teller didn't have enough time to close the window. McNeal pointed a gun at her and said, "Don't say nothin'."

At this time, police said he reached in and took money from the cash register. Approximately one hour before the robbery, McNeal had quit his job at the Rally's and the teller recognized him.

McNeal was arrested on Friday and is being charged with robbery.
