PRP student punches assistant principal, officer

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A high school student was arrested for punching a school official.

According to a police report, Shantarra Willis, 18, is a student at PRP High School. For unknown reasons, Willis got mad at the assistant principal and began to cuss at him. A school resource officer attempted to take Willis into custody when she hit him in the face with a closed fist.

In an attempt to help the officer, the assistant principal was punched in the face five more times. Willis then kneed him in the groin.

The ordeal was loud and caused alarm to other students, disrupting the school day.

Willis is being charged with assault, abuse of a teacher and menacing.
