According to police, Kenneth Splunge, 34, was captured on video surveillance attempting to open locked doors at the Galt House on Christmas Eve.  He gained entry to one office and stole a Dell laptop, a Vizio TV and two radios. Splunge was caught on camera fleeing the hotel, but left behind the baseball cap he was wearing.

On St. Patrick's day, Splunge was seen stealing from the Book and Music Exchange on Preston Highway. According to an arrest slip, Splunge and a woman entered the store. Splunge stole over $500 in merchandise, but the woman stayed behind when he fled. The incident was caught on camera and the woman had all of Splunge's information.
