LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1. Warmer Weather -- Highs will hit the 70s today, but there's a chance of rain and storms in the forecast. What can you expect for Thunder Over Louisville? WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team Meteorologist Christie Dutton has a preview.

2. Bridge Closure -- The Clark Memorial Bridge closes at 9:30 this morning in preparation for Thunder Over Louisville. It won't reopen until 2 p.m. on Sunday. Plan accordingly before heading out.

3. Blue Angels Arrive -- For the first time in eight years, the U.S. Navy's elite aerobatic team will fly high above the Ohio River at this year's Thunder Over Louisville. The Blue Angels begin arriving in Derby City today.
    
4. Possible Pegasus Parade Threat -- The Louisville Metro Police Department confirmed on Wednesday a possible threat involving gang members showing up in large numbers to the Republic Bank Pegasus Parade on May 1. The information was leaked to the media in the form of an internal FBI memo on the subject. 5. Victims of Homicide Memorial -- This week marks National Crime Victims' Rights Week, and today, the Kentucky Victims of Homicide Memorial will remember those whose lives were cut short by violence. This year's dedication includes a reading of victims' names on the memorial wall at Resthaven Memorial Park at 4400 Bardstown Road.

6. Derailment Settlement -- A settlement has been reached 18 months after a broken rail caused a train derailment in West Point, Kentucky. The accident forced a prolonged evacuation and caused three workers to suffer serious burns while trying to remove hazardous materials from the train. The amount of the settlement has not been released.

7. Extreme Park Demolition -- Starting this morning, part of the Louisville Extreme Park will be demolished as part of the Ohio River Bridges Project. About one-third of the park will be demolished and reconstruction on adjacent property to make way for the construction of flyover ramps.

8. Play Ball! -- Baseball is back! Today is Opening Day for the Louisville Bats at Slugger Field. The team plays the Columbus Clippers tonight at 6:35. Charles Gazaway, a digital content producer for WAVE 3 News will announce tonight's game.

9. Rat Race -- The 42nd annual Running of the Rodents happens at 11:30 this morning at Spalding University. The rats will compete for the coveted Garland of Fruit Loops. The annual race started in 1973 as a light-hearted way for students to relieve the stress of spring finals at the university.

10. Jillian Michaels -- The well-known trainer from NBC's The Biggest Loser brings her Maximize Your Life tour to Louisville's Brown Theatre tonight at 8:00. One of the world's leading health and wellness experts, Michaels will show audience members how to harness their potential, accomplish their goals and live an exceptional life, sharing her keys to health, success and happiness.
