LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A verbal argument on a TARC bus between two passengers turned physical when one of them pulled out a knife.

According to an arrest report, the bus was at 18th Street and Broadway just after 9 p.m. April 9 when Shontae Bishop pulled the knife and threatened another passenger. Bishop’s intended victim was able to get control of the knife and disarm and subdue him.

Police said Bishop was “highly intoxicated” when officers arrived. They also stated his speech was slurred, his eyes were bloodshot and there was a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.
