Victim of moped accident identified

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The man killed in a traffic accident Friday night in Hikes Point has been identified. The According to Jefferson County deputy coroner Sam Weakley, Joshua Paul Jones, 24, died from multiple injuries.

Around 8:25 p.m., Jones was operating a moped heading southbound on Glen Oak Drive and Bradford Drive. Louisville Metro Police say a Jeep Cherokee heading west on Bradford Drive was making a left turn onto Glen Oak when it collided with the moped.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said no charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the Jeep.
