LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – With recent concerns over security during Thunder Over Louisville, Metro police said one of the biggest problems was sunburn.

During an early evening press conference, Chief Steve Conrad said things had, so far, been quiet and there had been no reports of major incidents.

Conrad said officers were ready to move to different areas in preparation for the crowds once the show was over.

"The officers here tonight know that they may have secondary assignments based on what comes after the fireworks," said Conrad. "They won't just be heading home, they may be working for a few hours into the morning."

As of 11:45 p.m. police still had no reports of major incidents and officers were dealing with the heavy volume of traffic leaving the downtown area.
