LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police say a man who called them earlier in the evening about a parking dispute ended up being the victim of an assault by the other person involved.

The arrest report filed by LMPD says Johnnie Hooten, 49, approached his victim while the man was getting out a car with his family in the 4000 block of Beech Avenue on April 12. After the man pushed Hooten to get away, Hooten pulled a knife and cut the man across his abdomen.

The victim was taken to University Hospital for treatment. Hooten remained at the scene and was arrested. He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on one count of assault.
