BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say a woman found in a burned out Beattyville residence was dead before the fire began.
Police said in a statement on Monday that they believe 79-year-old Martha Belle Hollar was slain. She was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday after firefighters located her remains. Autopsy results on Saturday concluded that she died before the fire began.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
