LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An Ohio man has been arrested in Louisville on after he was found in possession of items taken in a robbery.
Jarvis D. Barnes, 25, of Cincinnati, was already being held at Louisville Metro Corrections after he was found in a car with a stolen cell phone and a wallet that had the identification of another man. Louisville Metro Police later discovered the ID in the wallet belonged to the victim of a strong-arm robbery that took place April 9 at the Walmart on Bashford Manor Lane.
The report says Barnes struck his victim in the mouth and threw him to the ground. The man suffered injuries to his knee and shoulder in the assault.
Barnes was identified by the victim in a photo pack and was recorded on store surveillance video carrying out the attack.
An addition charge of robbery was placed against Barnes on April 15.
