KDF Marathon and miniMarathon will impact traffic Saturday

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon and miniMarathon will take place simultaneously Saturday.

Starting at Brook and Main Street at 7:30 a.m., about 16,000 runners will make their way along a route taking them through Museum Row, Churchill Downs and Iroquois Park, winding through the Highlands and ending at Preston and Witherspoon.

This is the 41st year for the miniMarathon and 13th year for the Marathon. Aimee Boyd, Vice President of Communications for KDF, offered some tips for residents Saturday.
