LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A child was rushed to Kosair Children's Hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a driver who fled the scene in Pleasure Ridge Park, according to MetroSafe.
MetroSafe said the child was hit in the 5500 block of Grandel Boulevard around 7 p.m. Thursday.
Shortly after officers located the suspected driver in the 6600 block of Skyline Drive in Valley Station, approximately four miles away from where the child was hit.
Police have not released the identity of the suspect but said the driver is in custody and several charges are expected to be filed.

As written, the bill allows public school boards and private schools to add designated persons to carry firearms, possibly a teacher or staff member to be school marshals.
