2 people found dead of 'trauma' at Nelson County home
Neighbors said a mother and her two teenage daughters live at the home in the 5100 block of Springfield Road in Nelson County's Botland community.
NELSON COUNTY, KY (WAVE)
– Kentucky State Police remained on the scene hours
after two people were found dead inside a home in Nelson County.
say two female victims were found dead inside a home at 5120 Springfield Road
right outside of Bardstown.
Neighbors say a local teacher lived in the house with her two teenage daughters.
"We received a call from a family member that they were going to come
over and check because one of the family members didn't go to school today and
when he came over he found both of the victims inside and immediately called us
and that's when we got out here," said Lt. Jeremy Thompson, KSP.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Police aren't saying how
the victims died or the manner of death just that there were obvious signs of trauma.
Throughout the day investigators combed the area searching for any clues
outside of the home.
"From what we've determined thus far everything involving the crime
scene thus far is isolated to the inside of the residence," said Thompson.
At this time police aren't saying if this is an isolated incident. Not
knowing who is responsible puts a lot of neighbors on edge.
"You know you also have to calm the crowds and people and right now this
whole neighborhood is standing out here and is scared," said Kyra Greenwell,
neighbor. "We need to know something."
"We are not looking for any one suspect right now, we tracked a few
people down just to as part of neighborhood canvass and to my knowledge at this
time everyone that we were looking for to at least get a statement from we have
done so thus far," said Thompson.
KSP ask if you have any information to give them a call.
