LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1.  Weather – Meteorologist Christie Dutton of the WAVE 3 Storm Tracking team says there will be warmer temperatures today and a chance of storms tonight.

2. Pedestrian KilledA pedestrian was hit and killed while trying to cross Dixie Highway this morning, temporarily closing northbound lanes near Gagel Avenue.

3. 8th Street ShootingTwo people were injured during a shooting in a downtown Louisville apartment complex. According to MetroSafe, the shooting was reported just after 1 a.m. Thursday in the 550 Apartments, located on South 8th Street.

4. Lee County Murder Arrest – Police arrested Melvin Slone in connection with the death of a woman found in a burned-out home. Police say she was murdered before the house burned down.

5. EKU Arrest – Police say that an Eastern Kentucky University football player who was thought to be a victim of an armed robbery may have been in on it. He has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

6. Bullitt County Drug ArrestThe owner of a tattoo shop was arrested with more than $10,000 worth of drugs and guns. Police say he used the tattoo shop as a cover to sell drugs.

7. David Camm TalksCamm made his first public appearance since being acquitted in the murder of his wife and children.

8. Doctor InvestigationTwo local medical offices were shut down after an FBI investigation. Dr. John Baird was banned from writing prescriptions for controlled substances, but continued writing them anyway.

9. Great Balloon GlimmerThe Great Balloon glimmer kicks off a weekend of ballooning events.

10. Chow Wagon Opens– The 2014 Chow Wagon and Fest-a-Ville start today at noon. Click here for a full list of events.
