Goodyear police arrested a 35-year-old woman in connection with a fatal DUI crash in April.
Starr-Nesha Branch was booked into jail on manslaughter, driving under the influence and other charges after her arrest Friday.
Police said Branch was driving a car that ran through a stop sign at McDowell and Citrus roads and collided with another car about 8 a.m. April 26, killing its driver, Josie Sandoval.
A woman and child in Sandoval's car were seriously injured, Lisa Kutis of the Goodyear Police Department said.
Kutis said that moments earlier Branch had rear-ended a vehicle at Cotton Lane and McDowell Road. She fled when the driver of the other car said she was calling 911.
Branch's blood tested positive for several different drugs, Kutis said.
Branch was booked into the Maricopa County Fourth Avenue Jail on charges of manslaughter, aggravated assault, endangerment, DUI and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
She was being held on $250,000 bond.
