LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – After Louisville Metro Police detectives arrested a man wanted for several robberies, police in another city were able to clear up several of their cases after the suspect admitted that he committed them.

Christopher D. Robinson, 42, had been arrested by LMPD on April 23. During an interview with detectives, Robinson told them he also was the person who committed the January 9 robberies of JC Cigarette Outlet at 2700 Crums Lane and Family Dollar at 2501 Dixie Highway. Those robberies were about 20 minutes apart.

Robinson also said he attempted to holdup a Family Dollar at 3808 7th Street Road on January 31, but left after not getting any cash.

Robinson is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on three counts of robbery. He is due back in court on those charges May 6.
