LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man has been charged with arson after investigators say he intentionally set fire to a vehicle belonging to his ex-girlfriend.

Darnail Allen Mallory, 33, was arrested by Metro Arson investigators on April 28. His arrest report says evidence found at the scene of the fire led them to Mallory.

Authorities say there has been an ongoing domestic situation between Mallory and the woman. Before the fire, Mallory had sent several texts to the woman and had been kicked out of her place of employment.

Mallory was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections.
