LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville woman has been summoned to court for several counts of theft by deception.
According to a criminal summons, Lannette Roland, 46, issued several bad checks to Valu Market. On August 23, 2008 she wrote the check for $23.35, on August 24, 2008 for $61.48 and on August 26, 2008 for $32.76.
On September 1, 2008, Rolland failed to return rented equipment to the Taylorsville Road Aarons. She has signed a rental agreement on July 25, 2008 for a 50" TV with stand valued at $1,299. Roland paid one monthly payment for $128.22. On the rental agreement, Roland provided a fake social security number, date of birth and name.
Another summons states that on February 19, 2011, Roland failed to return property to Billy's Hometown Sales and Leasing. She rented a laptop, X-box and TV on February 2, 2011 and only made one payment. The property is valued at $1,700.
Roland is charged with three counts of theft by deception-cold checks and two counts of theft by failure to make required disposition of property.
