LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Twenty-two faces now hang high on buildings in Louisville showcasing hometown pride.

Tom Bulleit's Hometown Hero mural was unveiled Tuesday on South 3rd Street, between Market and Main Streets.

In 1987 Bulleit quit his job as a lawyer to start a distilling company. Today his brands are some of the fastest growing small-batch whiskies, a fact that makes Louisville proud.

Bulleit said, "You feel amazingly unworthy of any sort of honor like this. I am delighted to be a part of our great bourbon industry. As the governor just pointed out, it's going through an extraordinary revival at this point."

Bulleit was inducted as a member of the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of fame in 2009.
