CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

All is well in Reds Country after Todd Frazier hit a walkoff single in the tenth inning to give the Reds a 4-3 win over the Brewers Sunday. The Reds (15-16) are now just 5.5 games out of first place in the NL Central, after taking three of four from Milwaukee.

"It's a huge confidence builder knowing we're not full strength and we're still doing this," said Frazier.

With the Reds trailing 3-2 in the eighth inning, Brandon Phillips stepped up with a huge game-tying home run.

"It feels good just winning man, that's the best thing about playing this sport," said Phillips. "It feels good having the haters. That means you're doing good. I just keep on laughing at them."

Coming into their series with the division leading Brewers, Bryan Price said it was just another series. After Sunday's walkoff win in ten innings, Price admitted it was much more than that.

"It's important that we don't let these guys get so far ahead that it seems like an insurmountable climb," said Price. "So, it was, in its own way a very important series for us."

Alfredo Simon pitched seven innings, allowing five hits and three earned runs. Bryan Pena was pulled from the game after the seventh inning for tightness in his leg. Pena said he'll be ready to go when the Reds visit Boston for a two-game series on Tuesday. Homer Bailey (2-2, 5.50 ERA) will get the start for the Reds.
