FRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) – More than two dozen guns and knives linked to a criminal investigation of former Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer will go up for auction Monday.
According to the ‘State Journal', 13 Remington rifles and 16 Case knives were purchased for visiting commissioners attending the 2008 Southern Association of State Departments of Agriculture in Lexington. Farmer eventually took the items for himself.
The auction will be Monday morning starting at 9:00 at the Kentucky Department for Fish and Wildlife Resources headquarters.
Farmer is serving a 27-month sentence in West Virginia.
