KEY WEST, FL (WAVE) – A shrimper caught a rare shark in Key West.
Carl Moore of Georgia was shocked when the strange looking goblin shark fell out of this trawling net filled with shrimp in April. Most people never get the chance to see a goblin shark. They live 1,000 – 3,000 feet under the water and feed on live squid and fish.
This is only the second member of his species ever caught in the Gulf of Mexico and the first since 2000.
