LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Reports of an "intoxicated female ramming vehicles" led to an arrest early Wednesday morning.
According to an arrest slip, Paula York, 45, was seated in the driver's seat of a gold Lincoln when officers arrived. She was drinking a Miller Lite. The engine was off, but the hood and radiator were very hot and keys were in the ignition. Five or more cold beers were in the passenger seat.
When the officer tapped on the window, she jumped up and screamed. She seemed intoxicated and told the officer she hadn't driven since the day before. There was fresh paint transfer with both vehicles she parked between.
The vehicle was not registered and did not have insurance. When arrested, the officers said she fell asleep and snored loudly.
She said she did not fall asleep but was meditating.
York is being charged with DUI, no registration, failure to own insurance, open container in vehicle and criminal mischief.
