Votto's homer gives Reds 4-3 win over Rockies

The Reds moved Joey Votto to clean-up for the first time this season and it paid off with a walk-off winner at Great American Ball Park.

Hitting fourth for the first time this season with Jay Bruce recovering from knee surgery, Votto hit his first home run since April 16th to send the Reds to a 4-3 win.

Votto, a lifetime .312 batter, is only batting .263 this season.

"I mean, I haven't hit well at all and I still feel I've done relatively well," said Votto on Friday.  "I try to maintain perspective and the only thing I ask is that I put myself in position to play every day and stay healthy."

Votto's walk-off home run traveled 437 feet to center field.  It came after the Rockies tied the game off Jonathan Broxton in the ninth inning.

"It's definitely a big hit for him," said Todd Frazier.  "Especially, switching him in the line-up again.  We just have to finish games and that's what we did."

Frazier hit a 458 foot home run early in the game.  The 6th longest home run in GABP history.
