SHIVELY, KY (WAVE) – Around 11:20 p.m. on May 11, a Shively police officer was in the 4600 block of Dixie Highway conducting an investigation into another incident. When he saw a woman drinking an alcoholic beverage in the back seat of another car that turned out to be just the start of her troubles.

The officer asked for and got permission from the owner of the car to search it. While the search was taking place, another officer saw the back seat passenger shoving items into her pants.

When asked if she had narcotics on her, Jessica Albin, 28, of Louisville, said she didn't. When she was learned a police K-9 was on the way, Albin admitted to officers that she had a pill hidden in her shorts. She gave them a bag containing seven Alprazolam. Albin told police she had a prescription for the pills.

The report says after her arrest Albin begged the officer to take her home and said she would pay him to do so. Instead, Albin was taken to Louisville Metro Corrections and booked on charges of possession of an open alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, not having a prescription in its proper container and bribery of a public servant.
