NEW YORK, NY (WAVE) - NBC will make some bold moves this fall after
a successful season in which the peacock network is poised to finish in
first place among young adult viewers for the first time in a decade.
Network honchos announced on Sunday in New York that a dozen new series
will join the NBC lineup this fall, including dramas starring former Will and Grace star Debra Messing and
Grey's Anatomy alum Katherine
Heigl. The 2014-15 season will also include a pair of Will
In addition, NBC will reward the successful freshman drama The
Blacklist with a second season and the January 2015 post-Super
Bowl time slot. The James Spader series will move from Monday to Thursday
at 9 p.m. followed by the final season of Parenthood
at 10 p.m. on Thursdays.
NBC chose to cancel Dracula, Community, Revolution,
Growing Up Fisher, Believe,
Ironside, The Michael J. Fox
Show, Sean Saves the World
and Welcome to the Family.
A Saturday Night Live 40th
anniversary special will air on February 15, 2015.
