NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

In North Ridgeville, near Center Ridge Road and Mill Creek, police and fire have been out to help people trapped in homes and cars using boats and large vehicles to reach them.

Police say most of the city is flooded is more roads are closed than open. They have been fielding dozens of calls for help in the area.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

The Lorain County Sheriff's Office is warning residents to stay off the roads due to the flooding and debris in the road.

Never attempt to drive a car through flooded roads. It could be deeper than it seems.

Severe weather roared through the area, hitting Lorain County the hardest. Funnel clouds, lightening, and heavy rains are leaving a mess for most cities in the area.
