LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police arrested a man accused of stealing merchandise in 2009.

According to an arrest warrant, David Lee Zickel, 53, entered Century Entertainment on Beulah Church Road on November 15, 2009. He told the owner that he was purchasing a new house with Century Mortgage, the owner's business partner.

Zickel said he provided some paperwork to Century Mortgage but had not been approved for a loan. He picked out several TVs, a surround sound system, DVD player and other items. The business owner helped load Zickel's truck with the merchandise, but instead of going back into the business, Zickel drove off.

The store owner used the cell phone number Zickel left at Century Mortgage to contact him. Zickel said he would be back to pay, but never showed.

His phone number was then disconnected.
