LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Jeffersonville man, pulled over for not using a turn signal, ended up with drug trafficking charges.

According to an arrest slip, Dominique James, 30, was stopped by police for failing to use a turn signal and for not wearing a seatbelt. Once stopped, officers smelled marijuana. They found pills in his waistband on his right side.

Upon further search, police found a large amount of pills that were in a container and a large amount of marijuana in a white trash bag. James also had a large amount of money, consistent with drug trafficking.

James has been convicted of trafficking marijuana in Kentucky and Indiana in the past.
