CEDAR GROVE, KY (WAVE) – The National Weather Service says a storm that moved through WAVE Country on Wednesday afternoon spawned a small tornado.

NWS said the EF-0 tornado touched down just after 2:15 p.m. 8.8 miles south/southwest of Mount Washington. The tornado stayed on the ground for four minutes, traveled 1.5 miles and was 50 yards wide. Winds were estimated around 80 miles per hour.

Much of the damage was confined to trees, but one home did suffer siding damage.
