LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky is known for its bourbon. Now, the U.S. Senate has passed a resolution honoring the industry.
The month of May marks 50 years since the United States Congress passed Senate Resolution 19. The resolution recognized Bourbon Whiskey as a distinctive product of the U.S. and unlike any other type of distilled spirit, whether foreign or domestic.
The bourbon industry has grown and thrived over the last half century, especially the last decade.
The history of bourbon is currently on display at the Frazier Museum.
