LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A domestic violence group got a big boost to help teens learn how to create safe relationships.
On Thursday Verizon Wireless donated $21,860 to the Center for Women and Families.
The money will help connect survivors of domestic violence get the help they need and promote Green Dot Et Cetera, a training program for teens to step up, help others and to not tolerate domestic violence.
Lori Droege, the prevention coordinator for the Center for Women & Families said, "Regardless of our reasons, we're all in the same boat. We've all seen those situations where we thought something was off and done nothing about it. That's where Green Dot comes in."
In past two years, Verizon has donated more than $127,000 to support Green Dot training in Kentucky and Indiana.
